Safety isn't a feature. It's the foundation.
You're letting someone into your home, your car or your kitchen. Here is exactly what we do to make that feel OK.
Before
We vet beforehand
Drivers, taxi companies and hauliers are reviewed before they are let in: driving licence, permits and insurance. Other businesses hand in the documents the partner terms require, sector by sector (permits and registration checked upon onboarding — no quality guarantee).
During
You pay for what gets done
You pay the business directly — on the spot, against the business's invoice or with Swish to the business's own number where it is offered. SeeYouSoon takes no payment in the app.
After
A clear way forward
Email [email protected] and we'll take the matter up with the business. If we can't resolve it, Swedish consumer law applies and you can turn to ARN.
Payment
You pay the business directly — on the spot, against the business's invoice or with Swish to the business's own number where it is offered. SeeYouSoon takes no payment in the app. The app takes no card details — there is no card number with us. All traffic is encrypted and data is stored in Western Europe (see the privacy policy).
Your details
We only collect what's needed for the booking to work, and never sell data on. Want a copy of your data or everything deleted: [email protected]. More in the privacy policy.
When something goes wrong
Describe what happened to [email protected] — ideally with the order number. Customer service answers around the clock in Swedish, Arabic and English and contacts both parties before we take a position. Never replaces 112 when life is in danger.
In the taxi ride
Safety & SOS in the app.
The safety features sit inside the taxi ride itself in the app. Here is what they do, who gets to know what, and where the line is drawn.
Always call 112 when in danger. The SOS in the app never replaces the emergency number.
SOS during the ride
Open «Safety» in the ride and hold the 112 button down for two seconds. The phone calls 112 itself — SeeYouSoon never calls 112 for you. At the same time the alarm is registered with SeeYouSoon together with the ride's details, and the taxi team and the taxi company driving the ride are alerted at once. They see the ride, the car's registration number and the position the phone or the car reports, never your phone number. The alarm stays open until someone in the team has handled it and written down what was done, and then you get the message «Your case has been handled». An alarm that no one takes goes on to the on-call staff, level by level. If no level takes the alarm, the whole team is alerted again.
During the call
What you can tell 112
The safety screen shows the car, the registration number, the driver's first name and where you are heading, so that you can say where you are and what has happened. The screen works even without a connection.
Before you get in
Is it the right car?
Check the number plate against the app before you get in, and tell the driver the code. If the car does not match, press «This is not my car». The team and the company are then alerted straight away, and the app says «Do not get in the car».
During the journey
Is everything okay?
If the car stands still for a long time where it should not, or drives in the wrong direction, the app asks both you and the driver «Is everything okay?». If you answer «No, I need help», or no one answers in time, the team is alerted.
Share the ride (Safe journey home)
Send a link so that someone you trust can follow the ride until you arrive. The person following needs no account and sees the driver's first name, the car and the registration number, and how many minutes are left. While you are in the car, the car's position and an approximate destination area are also shown, never the exact address. You can tap «Stop sharing» whenever you want, and the link stops working a while after the ride is over.
Trusted contacts
In «Safety & SOS» you save the names and mobile numbers of people you trust. The person gets a text message that you have added them, and after that only when you have chosen it. Under «Automatic sharing» you choose Never, Evenings or Always, and with «Share with my contacts on SOS» your contacts get a link to the ride when you press SOS. Nothing is sent until you have chosen it. In the app only the last four digits of the number are shown.
The driver's safety
The driver has a safety screen of their own. It has an SOS that calls 112 and sends the driver's position to SeeYouSoon, a silent alarm without a call («Alert the team without calling»), «Share my ride» and «Report an incident» for an accident, threats or violence, damage to the car, cleaning, a lost item or something else. No audio or video recording is made.
The safety features above belong to the taxi ride in the app today. In Freight, anyone following a shipment via the tracking link can report a problem or raise the alarm, and in the other services there are the support chat and the reporting flows.
My needs
Health and emergencies.
In My needs you write what the driver should do, for example «Ask before you open the window», never what your diagnosis is. The driver sees the lines only after accepting, and the copy is deleted 24 hours after the ride.
If a life is in danger: call 112. Healthcare advice: 1177. This does not replace advice from healthcare.
If you feel unwell during the ride
With «I'm not feeling well» in the ride you ask the driver to stop or close the windows with one tap, or call 112 from your own phone. Every driver also has the card «If the customer feels unwell»: ask first, do not open the window without asking, and call 112 if breathing is very difficult. SeeYouSoon's on-call team can read your emergency card only with your own consent and if you have raised the alarm, and every reading is logged.
The film
Safety, in 21 seconds.
Four things we do before, during and after a ride. No sound, cut from the site's own pictures.
